Hello all,

I am from Trinidad and Tobago and currently live in Bermuda. Does anyone know where I should be submitting my tourist visa application? I know there is a Thai consulate in NYC but, per their website, they don’t seem to cover Bermuda under its jurisdiction (other consulates in NYC normally do) and no one answers the phones at the NY Thai consul so I can’t get further information. I suppose another option is to post my passport back to Trinidad but I haven’t lived there for over 7 years and there are consulates in closer proximity, so I’m sure there’s a better option available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As travel from Bermuda to Thailand is not easy, you might also consider to fly first to Singapore or Hong Kong where T&T citizens do not require a visa for 30/90 days and get your visa there.

Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory...my guess would be start there.

What does that have to do with applying for a visa for Thailand?

I have already confirmed there is not a Thai embassy or consulate there.

Perhaps a UK based consulate handles its territory.

Either the embassies in the US or Canada does visas for Bermuda.

The question has come up before.

He could also get a visa transiting in London (no visa required UK for 6 months T&T) or in the USA or Canada if he already has a visa for those countries.

He could apply for his visa by mail before starting his trip.

Yes to Port-of-Spain but he seems to want to avoid that. I presume he has a Trinidad passport so if he is going to mail it why not to the Honorary Consul there?

BTW this is from the Thai Embassy Washington DC website for single entry tourist visa:

7. For non-US citizen, a letter proof of employment ( **we don’t accept pay stubs**) or  a letter proof of full-time student status. For self-employed, business license or business registration indicating the applicant’s name.

He will most likely travel Bermuda to UK via London Gatwick British Airways then a transfer to Heathrow so he can take a transit break and get a Thai visa in London.

I am not sure thy accept mailed in applications. There is also one Puerto Rico. Normally international mailed in applications can only be sent to the designated embassy for where a person is located.

I think is only for applications in person or if mailed from within the US.
