hobobo
My two year old 52" Samsung just died (no sound, no picture, just a very thin strip of light all around the edges). Worth repairing or get a new one? Thanks for any constructive suggestions.

Ron19
We had a similar thing happen to 40" Sony, a 10cm wide strip appeared appeared across a section of the screen. Called a serviceman out who took one look at it a said that can't be fixed and didn't charge us for the call out. My advice to you would be to try that option first before buying a new one. Your problem sounds a bit different to ours and may not be terminal. Lamkyong's suggestion is worth looking.

If not lucky it will be off to Power Buy tomorrow!
