BERLIN (Reuters) - Parties seeking to form Germany's next government found common ground in areas of social policy and digital infrastructure on Monday, but remain far apart on issues that provoked stormy clashes last week.

BEIJING (Reuters) - China's largely rubber-stamp parliament is considering tougher penalties for those who disrespect the national anthem, including up to three years in jail, state news agency Xinhua said on Tuesday.

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers were barricading themselves inside a detention centre in Papua New Guinea (PNG) on Tuesday, defying attempts by Australia and PNG authorities to close the facility.

PHUKET: A tour bus whose engine failed on the northbound lane of the Darasamut Underpass at 7:15pm last night (Oct 30) caused a tailbacks and a blockage of cars for over an hour, Capt Siripong Wongsonpet of the Wichit Police confirmed to The Phuket News today (Oct 31).

TOKYO (Reuters) - A Japanese man was arrested on Tuesday after the severed parts of nine bodies, some of them stored in picnic coolers, were found in his apartment, Japanese media said.

Security personnel keep 42 criminal and national security risk suspects off the Royal Cremation Ceremony

The Divine Clinic in Lampang province was operating illegally when 22-year-old Jiratchaya Kampoon paid 35,000 for a breast implant procedure.

 

LAMPANG — Public health officials in Lampang province were preparing to file charges Tuesday against an unlicensed beauty clinic which conducted a breast augmentation on a young transgender woman who died the next day.

Stab-and-run assailant arrested at the Thachatchai check point

Tanya claims he tried to ignore him and walked to his motorbike. Anachai followed him and punched him in his face which is when he tried to defend himself by stabbing him with a knife and then trying to flee to Trang province, his hometown.
