Travel Insurance

Featured Replies

I've done a few test quotes and went to https://www.moneysupermarket.com and selected the 'backpackers' worldwide insurance option and did a test quote for a year and got back £150 for coverage, doing a single trip to Thailand actually cost more for some reason but if doing border runs I wanted to be covered in border countries anyway.

This any good?

Check the terms and conditions carefully, as well as the history of the provider.

When genuine health insurance coverage runs $100-$500 a month, getting something for $200 a year must come with some pretty severe limitations.  Google "travel insurance scams" if you want to read some really sad tales and some things to look out for....

Who is the policy with and have you read the Ts and Cs - especially things like using motor cycles if that is what you are planning?

Try a test quote to compare with WorldNomads and WorldWideInsure who I have used in the past for up to 18 months cover and would recommend. As to cost it will vary a lot depending on your age as well.
