Also known as "Nong June" she became well known in Thailand after doing end of semester work as a security guard. She hit national headlines in June as a result of her unusual work and her pretty looks. Now she is in hospital in a coma. Doctors told Daily News Online that she has severe head trauma, nerve damage, a broken wrist and blood on the brain. Medical staff said they were not sure if she would ever fully recover. The next two weeks would be vital, they said. Meanwhile her mother said that she and Nong June's father took the first flight to Bangkok on hearing about the accident. She told Daily News Online that she was in a terrible state when she saw her daughter in a coma in ER and was hoping for a miracle. It is tragic to see any human being in such a condition. Best wishes to the young lady, but, judging by the description of her injuries, it does not look too favourable. observer90210
Regular casualties on the roads with Thai or farang victims. At a certain point it seems obvious that educating the careless drivers is useless and harsher reprimand and deterrence becomes necessary. Astounding and alarming to notice how nobody just cares to take any genuine steps to prevent the mishaps.. (real steps please and not just the usual ego boosting releases with press photo posing) ... All the best to the poor girl and her family. Edited November 9, 2017 by observer90210
Just Weird
Amazing that this accident, which is no different to any other in Thailand except that the driver was an attractive woman, is not attracting the usual ire and indignation from the usual posters with their "Thais cannot drive, going too fast for the conditions, was she texting?, was she on the phone?, did they breathalyser her", was she tested for drugs?, etc. I wonder why? dogpatch55
Seems the driver of the 18-wheeler was doing a U-turn when he cut in front of the car and the male driver of the car could not avoid it.
