Thai-Chinese Strategic Research Seminar held to boost bilateral cooperation

XIAMEN, 10 November 2017 (NNT) - The Sixth Thai-Chinese Strategic Research Seminar was held in China to support and promote bilateral cooperation in various fields. The event was held on November 8th and 9th, 2017, at Huachiew University in Xiamen, Fujian.

The Deputy Prime Minister, ACM Prajin Juntong, said both countries are committed to further deepen cooperation as strategic partners. He said the seminar discussed China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which will benefit Thailand 4.0 economic model initiated by the Thai government.

Mrs. Patthama Thianwisitkul, the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB), said the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) project was also discussed at the seminar. She said the EEC will further boost cooperation between Thailand and neighbouring countries, creating economic value to existing and new industries and new revenue sources.

At the Sixth Thai-Chinese Strategic Research Seminar, Thai and Chinese scholars presented their research projects that can be classified into six categories including (1) diplomatic, security and national defense cooperation,

(2) investment, trade, finance and e-commerce,

(3) tourism, culture and education,

(4) transport, energy, agriculture and technological cooperation,

(5) the power of BRI and international and regional relations, and

(6) overseas Chinese in Thai-Chinese relations.

You mean operation biliteral Brain-washing propaganda started, right?

"6) overseas Chinese in Thai-Chinese relations."

There are several ways in which countries assert what could be described as " post colonial influence".

Britain has invested time and effort in The Commonwealth, France has it's overseas departments, and it's garrisons in francophone African countries. China has "overseas Chinese in Thai-Chinese relations."
