al007
Is Bangkok too far, maybe yes maybe no, I travel 6 hrs to go there, as I think the extra effort justifes the end result If not maybe Chulalongkorn it is I believe the Top cancer hospital here in Thailand Many plusses and govt and sensibly priced, down side quite a lot of bureaucracy and often waiting times can be long I have had cancer at the other end of my body from you Maybe also good to have routine monitoring done by them My colostomy supplies from them come at very competitive good prices, unlike supplies from many hospitals especially private ones If you want to talk PM me and I will give you my tel no
Sheryl
Options: - In Pattaya itself, try Pattaya Memorial hospital or Bangkok Pattaya Hospital (BPH). The first will be much less expensive than the second but is still a private hospital so not cheap. - In Sri Racha, the Red Cross Hospital (Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital) http://www.somdej.or.th/ https://english.redcross.or.th/content/page/947 will be inexpensive (about 1/3 as much) but will entail long waits on first visit and perhaps more than one visit to get into the right clinic/dept. Once there, repeat trips will be smoother but still take at least a half day. But taking both price and travel costs int account, your best option cost-wise. In Bangkok, there a government Cancer hospital http://www.cccthai.org/l-eng/index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&id=1&Itemid=6 Chulalongkhorn certainly will also have what you need but I think waits will be less at Chulabhorn Cancer Hospital. But since this is a recurrent need try in Pattaya and Sri rancha first.
minted50
Thank you for the replies, the medication I need will only necessitate 2 trips a year so I could do Bangkok easily.
Sheryl
In that case I think Chulabhorn is best. http://www.cccthai.org/l-eng/index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&id=1&Itemid=6 But at least for the fist visit, plan on staying overnight about 2 nights as it may take the better part of a day and need to arrive early morning.
