Any persons who believe they have seen Mr Russell are urged to call the family urgently at 061-1735550.

PHUKET: The family of 80-year-old British national Christopher John Russell are appealing for any information that may lead to his safe return to their home in Cherng Talay.

Mr Russell was last seen exiting a taxi at the Tesco store near Surin Beach on Wednesday (Nov 15). He was wearing a T-shirt and brown/khaki trousers and carrying a suitcase and a rucksack.

PHUKET: The 80-year-old British man Christopher John Russell, who disappeared on Wednesday, has been found alive and well.

A tour guide contacted The Phuket News after reading the family’s appeal for information posted online this morning (Nov 17, see story here) to confirm that he saw Mr Russell at Phuket International airport on Wednesday morning.

To support his claim, the tour guide, who asked not to be named, even presented a photo of Mr Russell as well as a copy of Mr Russell’s confirmation of check-in.

Half right. The elephant was enjoying a game of keepy-ups on her break from ferrying tourists around. She was close to beating her all time record. Mr Russell robbed the ball! And stuck it up his T-shirt for a laugh. At this point, you come in.

If anyone reads the full linked article, it appears to be saying he went to the airport to check in a full week ahead of his flight, only to discover the plane wasn't leaving any time soon.

Mr Russell had checked himself in early to go home, but as his booked flight home to Birmingham, England, does not depart until next Thursday (Nov 23), the octogenarian had booked himself to stay at a small resort in Nai Yang, just south of the airport.

He's either very fastidious about his travel habits... or... perhaps some of his marbles have gotten lost as well and the family might consider keeping a closer watch on him.
