Carnage in South Pattaya as "epileptic" man plows into people/bikes

Featured Replies

But it turns out that he wasn't epileptic at all and using it as an excuse to cover up his drug abuse.  It seems he was high on amphetamines, Yaba and the like.

Epileptics shouldn't be singled out because of this idiot.  The majority of epileptics live a normal life (and drive competently), not having seizures for years, thanks to today's medications.

why was he driving if he knew his condition was bad.this is thailand, but he should have not got behind the wheel

Be careful if you come from a smart country/state where it's legal: with the current stupidity in this country, I suspect that they will do more and more roadside urine tests to know if people drive after having smoked a joint 2 weeks ago ! Prepare your cash.

so the authorities are going to introduce a lad of new "medical" measures because the driver wasn't suffering from any of them?

wouldn't it be better just to spend a bit of time trying to work out exactly what diseases pose threat to road safety?
