With a lease option, a tenant buys a small option to purchase the condo in say 2 years time. Before then, he pays monthly rent. If by 2 years he still likes the place and is positioned to take out a loan to buy, he now has the option to do so.

 

Thailand has a tighter credit market. With this considered, have you guys seen any lease option transactions among foreigners, or perhaps thai tenants also?
