Lease options in Thailand

Featured Replies

With a lease option, a tenant buys a small option to purchase the condo in say 2 years time. Before then, he pays monthly rent. If by 2 years he still likes the place and is positioned to take out a loan to buy, he now has the option to do so.

Thailand has a tighter credit market. With this considered, have you guys seen any lease option transactions among foreigners, or perhaps thai tenants also?

Quite common with the numerous properties advertised for both sales and rent.

I have heard that banks do not give loans on condos, only on land. I could be wrong though, usually am !
