Rimmer Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Killer baht bus driver captured at border PATTAYA:--The driver of a Sattahip baht bus who killed five passengers and injured nine others was captured on the Cambodian border trying to flee the country. Somporn Thamaen, 35, was caught at a border crossing in Sa Kaeo Province and returned to Sattahip Nov. 28. Fifteen people were packed into the back of the Naklua-Sattahip pickup truck when it barreled into a large Pradhu tree Nov. 18. The roof of the cab was torn off and the passenger bay destroyed, with bodies scattered all around the wrecked baht bus. Police called the crash a result of careless driving. Before the wreck, Somporn was arguing with his wife in the cab of the pickup. Passengers said the fight turned violent and, as the two were exchanging blows, Somporn drove the baht bus into the tree. -- © Copyright Pattaya Mail 2017-12-08 "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!" LazySlipper Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 For every one caught how many escape? Bht bus drivers are public menaces cutting left and right and letting passengers off fro the 2nd lane rather than next to a sidewalk. Hope he gets what he deserves.
darksidedog Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 They should publicly nail the son of a <deleted> to the tree he rammed into. These drivers need to be charged and jailed for the crime they committed, Murder, end of story. Maybe that will slow some of the other reckless idiots down a little.

'These drivers need to be charged and jailed for the crime they committed ...' So do the morons who permit it. Currently unelected, and as impotent as the elected versions.
Colabamumbai Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 As long as families will continue to accept cash for their dead, killers will continue to go free.

You are right on that. The truth is that the 500 baht fine is not important, but he did not said "I am sorry" at the police station. When the murderer will say "I am sorry" in front of the police and handle the police a brown envelope with a gift to make "Tamboon", the murderer can pay the symbolic 500 baht and will be free to go.

You forgot the customary 300,000 Bhat to the victims families to make it all ok.
wvavin Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 We just need some vigilantes to take these low life morons. Police are totally useless in this hopeless country.
pieeyed Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I am glad they finally caught this murderer. His female accomplice should be held accountable also. Good work for the border police.
aussiandrew Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Unfortunately the number of deaths stands at 5 at the seen and 5 from the injuries in hospital. RIPSent from my SM-T815Y using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
