Yamaha 135LC new engine

Featured Replies

I have a 2009 Yamaha Nouvo 135LC auto Motorbike

I did 7,000km in Pattaya then took the bike to New Zealand with a sidecar and did another 7,000km of hard work in a camping ground.

The motor needs major work and no parts in NZ so I want to buy a new Motor and ship to New Zealand.

Can anyone tell me who can do this, Thanks

Interesting. Were you using this bike on the road in NZ, or just in the camping ground? I was planning to ship my Scoopyi to NZ, but was warned against it because of the country's tough motorbike laws (meaning it might not be registered for the road without major and expensive alterations). I tried to get specs from various places to see if it was possible, but gave up in the end. I'd be very interested in knowing how you were able to do this with your Nuovo (if used on the road), as I still have the Scoopyi, and it wouldn't be hideously expensive to ship it down here.

Dexlowe don't even try I took 2 brand new scoopy i's to NZ no chance as you need Honda NZ to certify and they will do it.

I use all 3 bikes in the camping grounds and made up plates like CBR1 as we are 40km from the nearest cop no problem

on the road except over Christmas.

Ahh -- the voice of experience. Much appreciated. I'm in Chch at the moment, in a caravan at my nephew's house. Have bought a Kymco Like - 165cc, with windshield. Neat little unit.
