Five luxury watches have been spotted on the arm of junta deputy leader Prawit Wongsuwan.

BANGKOK — An online watchdog on Wednesday spotted what looks like a fifth pricey watch on deputy junta chairman Prawit Wongsuwan’s wrist.

The discovery was made on CSI LA, a popular Facebook page that crowd-sources amateur investigations, even as the general continues to stay mum about how he acquired his multi-million baht collection of timepieces – their combined value would add up to at least 10.2 million baht – and why none of them were declared in a mandatory assets report.

I guess his dead friend, who was a watch collector, loaned them all to him, and he just forgot to return them.   Gee, what a great friend!

10 mil minimum on watches. I wonder what percentage of a rich man's wealth is normally spent on watches? Probably not even .5 percent.

Very droll..............

The two on the right look a bit dodgy, they're showing the wrong time!

this brave man knew if he joined the military that one day his time would be up.

Are they legally imported into thailand? Can he show the receipts of that with real old ink on them?

He really must share the adress of his contact selling such fine quality replica pieces... as obviously his salary would not suffice to purchase originals ?

Or maybe I missed a point ?

That a so clever man that gets a place in the goverment don´t understand that watches ain´t an investment is unfathomable.

No, I can´t see that you missed anything. I guess you just covered it all.

Regardless of the value , those are some seriously naff looking watches, especially the two on the right.

Sort of bling a nuevo riche brother from the hood would wear.

Those two on the right look like Richard Mille..but the Royal Oak (Audemars Piguet)  and the Daytona (Rolex) remain unbeatable IMHO ! :licklips:

Poor old Toad of Toad Hall keeps on getting slimier and slimier - IT probably has 5 watches strategically placed on his flippers to allow him to be able to view the time correctly as he obviously has a problem with flabby skin on his toad like eyelids obscuring his reptilian vision -  he really is the epitome of a slime ball piece of turd.

Are they the genuine articles that you can only buy on the street in Pattaya rather than Swiss fakes?

So the guy has at least 5 (as in loads) of watches, declares he has no asset worth over Baht 100,000?

My gosh, , nice watch, .........but you want to see my car?????

How will they explain all this? Can’t wait to hear the world’s worst excuses.

You will probably never know. We'll get a statement from the NACC saying that he has provided the required explanations.  Case closed!

Obviously the government pays their military generals multi-million Thai Baht salaries. so the average Thais should just shut up and ignore this or else the PM will become angry.

He better watch himself People are starting to looking at him wondering where all the money is coming from But i would say he bought a watch on every junket he went on. What was the old saying" Join the navy and see the world" Well Thailand always goes one better " Join the army seize power then see the world"

He dont have to explain nothing He is the boss of the NACC Tell me when have you ever seen an employee fire a boss? This is the case here  They work for him Case closed

I've never spent more than $50 on a watch, never had one that didn't keep the time properly. I have had a couple expensive ones as gifts. They were no better, lasted no longer, got broke just the same as a basic Timex from a department store. So what is the attraction with expensive watches? It's jewelry for men. I never got the appeal of jewelry for men or women, I don't own any. For me it's like pulling out your wallet at a party or on the street and showing everybody how much you got. I don't care if other people do it, but I'll never understand it. So many better things to do with cash.

And Prayuth said "Not on my watch".

Maybe his billionaire American mother-in-law left them to him ? If so I think he should sell one, buy an elephant or two and make merit.

why not 7

one for each day of the week

Is this guy on borrowed time, or what?

So he goes shopping at the Patpong Night Market. Who hasn't been?
