I used to be involved in the planning process for construction around airports. Included wind and solar farms. 100% this is capitalist and not left wing in any way whatsoever. The money swilling around to mitigate any objection was absolutely enormous. One company was willing to pay out well over £7m to get their farm built. No, not a corrupt payment, it was to deliver a way to avoid an airport radar from detecting the wind turbines. I subsequently learnt that £7m was chicken feed to that energy company. -

However, advance confirmation is advised. If you transited through an airport in another country and remained in the international zone without passing through immigration, you won't have an entry or exit stamp for that transit country. This is typically not an issue for Thai immigration. So maybe it is possible for the OP to use Malaysia? -

Do you get on well with Thai People?
Do I get along well with most Thai people? Yes, absolutely. They are, by and large, polite and friendly and easy to get along with. Do I have any close Thai friends? Well, honestly, no. Partly it's the language barrier - I speak and read Thai well enough to get by, but not well enough for friendly conversation. But partly it's also my own personality. I get along well with people and have lots of friendly acquaintances, but I don't make close friends easily. -
