Waiter's bad habits

Maybe the problem is with your attitude ? We eat in all kinds of restaurants regularly and always get 2 menus. Waiter standing at the table to get the order is sometimes bothersome, but i courteously request them to allow us some time, instead of taking on an attitude of first world and third world.

What a ridiculous comment: "Maybe the problem is with your attitude".

You sit down at a restaurant with a partner and you're given one menu. How does attitude come into play?

This has happened to me at many restaurants over the years. I just ask for another menu, but to suggest the OP has an attitude problem indicates to me you're the one with an attitude problem.

Maybe the staff assume you will share and talk with the people you eat with in regards to the menu.
