Thaidream
After reading this thread and my own personal experiences- I really don't hold much hope for the World. As my late father used to say- 'Humans will eventually destroy themselves.' So, go ahead continue to self destruct with your petty grievances and bigoted opinions. There are many countries that have a distasteful past but you should not disregard the good and solely concentrate on the bad. But living today with that 'superiority complex' is very disgusting, IMHO. Good inventions are appreciated, but the bad attitude ruins WEAKER nations. Hence I chose the word 'disgusting' to state it mildly. Edit Even on this TVF you could find the 'superiority complex' in abundance! Also used in competition when one opponent gets a decisive victory over another. Did you know that the United States did not enter the war until December 1941?" I understand that the pregnant virgin rode on an ass. So, are you saying that Ted also had an ass and it was "beaten up badly" by Tony? Amy Reeca entered the war because it's naval fleet was severely embarrassed at Pearl Harbour. It was that which made them realise that the whole world was under threat and Britain was the only one in the whole of Europe which was holding out and striking back. What this has to do with Brits and Spams in Pattaya I really can't imagine.

goldenbrwn1
I think most of this American discomfort with the Brits boils down to misunderstanding. I am here in the UK right now and my cousin has recently married an American from Seattle . He came over for Christmas with his family and some friends (first visit to UK) After a night out with me and my friends, he said he could not believe that we were all actually friends.....he asked why are you all so horrible to each other!? As I said...it's all just a misunderstanding...don't take it to heart. Just like I love my mates...we Brits love you just the same. ?
