Utter nonsense, plenty of people have bodyguards in London and they will "politely but firmly intercept" if you get too close, just as described, you do not see film stars body guards being shot or trussed up, ever.

Previously married to a Thai. Got her into UK. 20 years later, turns current wife down saying Ive done it before even though she and I have been married 6 years!

it is irrelevent and the guys i saw weren't protecting anyone from the middle east. at least i dont think so. and yes i know some guys went into private security but they couldn't carry the kind of weapons they had legally doing private work. by the way. not too many middle eastern guys around there. a few, i know that area well

So do I and I have middle eastern clients who live there.  Mainly to the north of Piccadilly but their visitors stay at the Ritz or the serviced apartments in Bury Street.  Not arguing with you Happy enough, I am sure we are both speaking from our own knowledge.
