I want to take preserved salted sausage skins back to Thailand from New Zealand in my suitcase, in the hold. I will be in transit in Sydney for a couple of hours but my luggage will be booked straight through to Bangkok. Has anyone had any experience of bringing foodstuff such as this through Australia and any problems that they encountered? Any advice? Thanks.

if Australia is only a stop over and luggage is not being removed by you or checked in again at the airport you should be right. Once checked in at the original airport they do not need to be checked again unless removed in another country

Thankyou. Confirming what I've been arguing here.
