Is it not TACHOGRAPHS?

You might want to read my comments on that.

How do you think it affects the argument?

For anyone with a slightest knowledge of enforcement in Thailand, this would seem a markedly facile suggestion.

Just stupid putting those buses on a route with a long winding hill. I'd say the driver had no choice its all about revs on a hill for lorries also. If you slow down and you revs drop you could quite likely stall and not be able to restart (Drivers mate when I left school at 15)

No problem if you know how to drive.

You also need a vehicle that is serviceable. You can clearly see from the black smoke at the overtaking bus is poorly set up. These vehicles have non standard or non safety compliant bodies built on chasses modified to take longer bodies than intended. There is no consideration given to power to weight ratio or hill climbing abilities....so whilst some may be well able to make a climb, other apparently similar vehicles may just not be set up to cope.

Nachos restrict driving hours and monitor speed. If adhered to, tired drivers don't need to take drugs to keep going and are less likely to make poor decisions. They are forced to take a break....so the above incident is FAR less likely to have occurred.

PS _ "Lithographs" and "nachos" are the results of predictive text....No need to change, I think.

Thai "mechanics" like to open up injectors as much as possible....The problem with diesels is all you ever do is inrease the amount of fuel..... air stays the same...The result is after a point just lots of black smoke.

Take a look at the hoons in their "chipped" pickups

Nachos can do what? What kind of cheese do you need?:shock1:

Granted these vehicles are far from perfect, but some of the problems can be mitigated, and the vehicle piloted safely.....if you know how to drive.

NB Mitigated

I think there's a danger that we're expecting the drivers of such buses to show logic and reason.  Bear in mind that this is a group of individuals with whom we happen to share the highway, whose intellect is titillated by the below and in whose definition this is public transport.

In comparison with say Singapore, where there is a rule of law and where the definition of public transport would typically be this...
