To ask- what is their job description and qualifications and secondly if no contract made how enforceable is the demand for full fee and is it worth negotiating a reduction to say 1.5% or respond with “ see you in court” Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Peterw42 Posted January 22, 2018 Share Posted January 22, 2018 3% is standard commission , agreed on before, not during or after the sale, There is no formal real estate qualification.and you dont usually sign a contract with the agent. The agent will usually ensure they get their commission by holding the deposit of 5-10% and taking their 3% from it, not usually added on top.
