PATTAYA:--Authorities pronounced Pattaya’s marine-transport industry shipshape after a photogenic inspection at Bali Hai Pier.

Deputy Gov. Chaichan Iamcharoen was escorted on the tour of the South Pattaya jetty by Banglamung District Chief Naris Niramaiwong and the heads of Pattaya, Chonburi and Pattaya tourist police, as well as plenty of cameras to get all the men in uniform.

So, tourist police are inspecting boats! No wonder there are so many boating accidents. Just as well to have ladyboys doing the inspections.

The article mentioned more than just tourist police. But you don't have much of a point anyway as they didn't inspect the boat operators. That will need to be left for another day.

What's the problem with that ???

Tourist Police are Thai policemen, and for such controls they just have to follow a check-list. Why couldn't they do it well ?

Vessel surveying professionals! Well done. You are doing a great job keeping the public safe. I'll pass on any tours out there thanks anyway.
