  • Yeah looks great now. NOT.   you know they will never clean up that mess properly.

It would be interesting to see them do this nationwide. I suspect there would be a massive number of properties that would be found encroaching on Public land or just totally illegal.

  • Real interesting.. and it will be interesting to see who pays for the demolition and if they bring it back to nature or leave it like a war zone.

I don't really like beaches.  I prefer the restaurants and bars.

Do they even have a plan as to what to put there instead?

Uhmmm...another restaurant?

No no no!..what am I thinking!

A "Baby Waterfront"  condo would be more appropriate.

Of course the size will depend on the size of the "envelope".

Way before this, my first visit was 1980,  traffic went down walking street turned left at Simon Cabaret then into VC hotel area.    So from the boxing booth at the start of the street to past Simon Cabaret structures were there without a gap. Bali hai pier was not there as the pier was at the start of walking street.  Just to note Jomptien was only a beach, with Sugar Hut being there at the Dong tang police site.     Palm beach hotel site was a large pond with Buffalo wallowing.  all the front both sides of the beach track were coconut palms.
