Some time back I slammed Nok Air because of their clunky web site. I tried three times to reserve a ticket and after I finally navigated the site to the enter credit card details, the site informed me that Nok didn't accept US credit cards.

I read on Thai Visa that that was to be changed so a couple days ago I again tried the site and found it much improved. Not only did I make it through the first time, it accepted my US Visa card and my reservation was made successfully. Sometimes things do improve. :o

Used them a few days ago, the only minus is no alcohol on the airplain. Actually they should rename themself to taliban air.

airplain without beer.....whats that???

Everything else was perfect.

I think the lack of alcohol on domestic flights is something new. I recall getting a beer on PB Air from Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat, a couple of days after the tsunami. However, last year when travelling with Thai Airways from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, I was told that they no longer served beer on domestic flights, although I am sure I had a beer on the same flight a year earlier. I also noticed that there is no alcohol in Thai Airways' business lounge at Chiang Mai. Keeping passengers sober or saving money?

Flights for April to June annouced today - at last! - so tried to book on-line. My MBNA Europe Visa card was jejected but my NatWest Mastercard went through with no problem. NatWest has a separate security check which validates use of it's cards for foreign transactions (very useful safeguard) whereas MBNA doesn't. Given that it has taken Nok Air so long to accept internationbal cards because it wanted to ensure as tight safeguards as possible, the safer the better for me!

Ive been booking online with nok air with my uk credit card for the last 3 years (maybe 2 years!) without any problems.

I previously had to fly BKK-PKT every monday and friday, and would book tix as far in advance as possible. Never had any problem with either Barclaycard or Mint Visa.

Im not surprised that MBNA cards dont work.
