Just used them on Wednesday... showed up at 9am with all the required paperwork (Completed New TM 7, US Income Affidavit, Copy TM30 and Photo - I also had a 6 month bank statement to show monthly funds coming in but she said I did not need )... and it took 20 minutes to get the paperwork in order and signed... Paid 6,900 baht and she said come back at 1pm... But she called me at 11am and said ready... Returned and she walked me over to Immigration to get my photo taken and the officer handed my passport... Another 20 minutes... The 6,900 also includes the Immigration 1,900 fee and three 90 day reporting for the next year... An interesting thing I noted on their price list was 15,000 bhat for "Visa Change"... I asked her if this was to change a Tourist Visa to a Non-Immigration O... Popular Post CMBob Posted February 2, 2018 Popular Post Share Posted February 2, 2018 The old G4T outfit (now renamed as Best Friend Visa) moved to someplace behind or near Big C on the super highway and is still charging a 3,000 baht fee for the annual extension based on retirement. I haven't been there as yet but a friend handled his extension with them last week. Given they are not on site (Promenada) anymore, you have to go there to provide the documents and your passport and then they'll call you tell you when you need to show up at Promenada the next day or two for your lovely photo. 2 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For totally irrational supposed "reasons" they have some bee in their bonnet about those of us who love the simplicity, peace of mind, reliability, time saving, etc of the "Agency" method. Personally I just use the one nearest to where I am staying at the time and have been using Agencies and their predecessors since pre 2000. At the moment I use OS Visa, the same one as recommenced by "masuk" and find them to be A1. (I have never actually heard/seen any bad reports by Agency users of any of the agencies around town) A quick google search should do the trick if the OS Visa location is not suitable. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, it is possible to change a tourist visa to a non-imm O visa to get yourself on the path for a retirement or marriage extension without leaving the country. The official gov't fee for this service is 2000 baht. However, if you try to do it yourself, you'll find that Imm. doles out a limited number of "appointments" per day for visa change service, that you have to have 21 days remaining on your current permission to stay and they're booked up five weeks in advance for appointment to change your visa. Yet, you can go to a visa agency, pay 15,000 baht for a service that is suppose to cost 2,000 baht and have same day or next day service. Gee, I wonder how that works. I'm not a "visa agent basher". No not by a long-shot. Left assit Thai visa at 13.30 with 3 others, back in my condo by 15.00 hrs. Many bad stories heard at immigration by folk who had been there long time. Mind you did help a friend do a visa transfer very recently for a relatively hassle free diy cost of 2000 baht.
