thanks :) i remember a few years ago they wanted a document from the amphur proving that you're still married to your wife. is that still needed? or just the marriage certificate will do?

For a SETV application at Savannakhet, what are they looking to see for the return ticket out of Thailand?

Specifically, does it have to be dated within 60 days, or 90 days of entry into Thailand (assuming one intends to extend the stay permission by 30 days).

Do they need to see transportation arrangements into Thailand as well? I suppose not because most people enter by bus to Mukdahan.

They don't ask for a Kor Ror 2 from an Amphoe. Some people attach one to the application but it is not required.

Remember to take the 'show' marriage certificate and the actual document too as last time I went they wanted to see both.

For a tourist visa, when showing an airline ticket out of Thailand, does that need to be within 60 days?

Or will 90 days be accepted?

Is this date calculated from the visa application date, or intended entry date into Thailand?

When applying for a 1 year multiple non-O (marriage) in Savannakhet, how many pages minimum must be left in the passport?

I have 12 pages left and my passport expires in July 2019. However, I will probably get a new passport in March 2019. Does that seem OK?

You should get a new passport prior to having only 6 months of validity remaining on your passport. Six months validity is needed to enter any nearby country.

Thank you both!

If I understood correctly, that means if I time my entry into Thailand to get 90 days so that it occurs before I only have 6 months left on the passport, I *can* actually hold off getting the new passport until my planned trip back to Europe in March 2019? (That trip will be straight back to my home country from Thailand.)

Just returned Friday from there. Easiest experience I've had since I've been here. Copy of your passport your wife's ID and housebook and copy of marriage licence along with 2 pictures. Take all this stuff to the guy across the street pay him 80bhat he copies it and puts it together in a nice neat bundle for immigration. The only words spoken between the officer and me was "5000" baht please come back tomorrow after 1400. Simple hassle free

Almost forgot you need to show the original marriage licence as well

they want original marriage certificate from thailand or international one work too or both?

married abroad not thailand (not registered yet will register)

They will accept a foreign marriage certificate if it is in English. If not in English it has to be translated to Thai.

Not sure how you would have a Thai and a foreign marriage certificate.

I hope you don’t mind my posting here, but I have all documents apart from my marriage certificate, including a photocopy of my original marriage certificate. I do have a police report though, reporting the loss. Would this suffice? Thank you in advance.

^ No idea, but question please. We have 2 Marriage Certificates (one for the Husband and one for the wife I believe), were both lost ??

Edit: Maybe a good idea in this case is to also get a KR2 (at your local Amphur costs 20 THB)  which states that you are still married.

^The wife is in the UK now and not returning to Thailand for a couple months. But thank you for the idea. I will look into getting it couriered here.

I've only ever had to show my "showy" marriage certificate plus a copy. I don't recall getting a 2nd paper part when i married. Is it required?

You don't need the other one that is a Kor Ror 2 marriage registry to apply for the non-o visa.

I never had a Kor Ror 2 until immigration asked for it for the first time when I applied my extension based upon marriage. Wife made a quick trip to the local Amphoe and got a print out of it to submit with the application.

Thanks for your reply Ubon. I noticed you said that previously. Then someone stated you needed the "showy" version and official version. Not sure why some people have different info and confuse things. ?

You must 'show' the original in living colour marriage certificate plus you need signed copies of it to turn in

Same experience as Ubon, seem’s like it depends on the mood of the day.

Take it with you no big deal.

I think he meant the original marriage certificate and a copy of it.

I was writing about applying for a extension of stay at immigration not a non-o visa in Savannakhet.
