Jai Dee
Ministry of Public Health warns of violence in families The Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Health, Md. Taweesin Visanuyothin, warns parents and guardians of family violence as youths may absorb violent activities from them. Md. Taweesin indicated that psychology of violence is divided into three parts. Firstly, violence originates from oneself due to the changes of hormones as well as physical and mental growths, and if the growth balance is not right, a person is inclined to have aggressive behaviours. The second factor concerns the family upbringing. Md. Taweesin said children can unconsciously soak up different violent conducts from their parents such as the methods they use to punish them, and when the children grow up, they are likely to imitate their parents. The social environment is also another important factor, and Md. Taweesin referred to video games, narcotics and peer pressure. He would like to warn parents and guardians to be watchful of their conducts and their children as they could be the key to teenage problems.
