How much will be the cheapest education visa?

Featured Replies

I'll need it only for a few months.

Note that I don't want to study, neither do I want to stay a long time in Thailand using the visa.

How much approximately will it cost? Any school, any class. The cheaper a school, the better. And even better if a school isn't strict about me actually studying and comming to the classes.

Nobody knows?

I would guess that not many members have done a search on this issue.

And people wonder why there was a crackdown on Ed visas and extensions.

Then your best option would be to go and get a tourist visa, it will certainly be the cheaper option.

I'm not asking what the cheapest and best option is.

1yr ED visa with no class attendance costs 12K-15K baht. Possibly, you can bargain it down proportionally to the length of your stay. As a rule, those schools charge such students 5K for visa extension (in case you stay >3 months) for negotiations with the immigration (1900 baht fee included). Most of the schools I've found were from BKK/PTT but probably there are some on popular islands (Phuket, Samui). They are pretty open about such offers, so they are googlable. Basically, any "1yr ED-visa for <20K baht" offer you find is the one with no actual classes to attend.
