PHUKET: A 19-year-old Phuket man sustained injuries to his legs, arms and face yesterday night when he drove his motorbike into a power pole at high speed in Srisoonthorn.

Thalang Police was notified of the accident from Lt Boonleang Maneenil of the Thalang Traffic Police at 8:30pm yesterday (Feb 21).

Hic!

If all such accidents nationwide would be reported the forum would overflow.

Lucky boy, about 50 other motorbike riders didn't survive yesterday.

I see such lunatic racers daily around sundown speeding along our road.

Was he driving on the street or the sidewalk - most power poles are on the sidewalk!

Witness said high speed and lost it on the bend.

Hell, I did that once when I was young and stupid. Luckily there were no obstructions, just a potato field to land in (and just to beat all the wise cracks) or I would have had my chips!
