Phuket man, 19, injured in high speed collision with power pole

PHUKET: A 19-year-old Phuket man sustained injuries to his legs, arms and face yesterday night when he drove his motorbike into a power pole at high speed in Srisoonthorn.

 

Thalang Police was notified of the accident from Lt Boonleang Maneenil of the Thalang Traffic Police at 8:30pm yesterday (Feb 21).

 

Srisoonthorn Rescue workers arrived at the Tharua curve on Thepkrasattri Rd northbound to find a damaged Honda motorbike. Nearby was Chinatip Puerdudom from Phuket lying in the road with injuries to his legs, arms and face.

If all such accidents nationwide would be reported the forum would overflow.

Lucky boy, about 50 other motorbike riders didn't survive yesterday.

I see such lunatic racers daily around sundown speeding along our road.

Witness said high speed and lost it on the bend.

 

Hell, I did that once when I was young and stupid. Luckily there were no obstructions, just a potato field to land in (and just to beat all the wise cracks) or I would have had my chips!

I have seen plenty on the side of the road here on the Island, some as much as 50 cms out from the kerb.
