And here we have the perfect target audience for such a film....

LOL.  In fairness, I think that may be due to autocorrect.

  • I do find that angle to be annoying : What they should say is : He thoroughly enjoyed his years taking *whatever he was taking* and that was all he cared about , took the drugs because he selfish

  • He writing a sequel book about his time in a UK prison called 'A Life of Reilly.'

  • I mean.... they want to make movies about these idiots and wonder why we're getting dumber.

Asia books used to have a whole shelf of these 'my nightmare in a Thai jail' tomes. All of it unreadable rubbish, but only a couple of clicks worse than the 'I was scammed by a bar girl' trash, usually on the next shelf down. All of them with lurid covers usually featuring bars, or some ugly tattooed mug behind bars , so you wouldn't be seen dead reading them, except in a sexpat bar, or a Thai prison.

And yet another contender for the Einstein awards, unless of course the UK has introduced 90 day reporting for its citizens.

No will power ? lack of self control ? No self respect ?

They just want to do some and disregard the consequences and then claim to be a victim of addiction

Because of the terrible pain I have in both knees I took Percocet and Oxycoden in Canada because it was free and helped my pain. In Thailand where I lived, Bang Lamung, the doctors REFUSED to give me any pills other than Tylenol 3's....what a joke. Through the "grapevine" I found out about Tramadol that I could get over the counter just about anywhere. The Tramadol helped but I found myself taking more and more of them. My Filippina wife and I gave up on the traffic and filth of Pattaya last March 1st. and came to the Philippines where getting the Tramadol was just as easy to get as in Thailand. About 3 months ago I said to myself that enough was enough and it was time to quit. Stopping the Percocet and Oxycoden were a piece of cake to quit although I had to endure weeks of no sleep and night tremors that would almost throw me out of bed. The Tramadol turned out to be a monster and although I stopped taking them the night tremors persisted weeks after my taking my last pill so had to go to the Doctor here in my town for some help. He gave me some simple muscle relaxers and a sleeping pill. After a week I stopped the muscle relaxers and only take half a sleeping pill. I believe if you want to stop doing something you just do it and bury the pain and depression until you come out clean on the other side to really enjoy life again. I still have arthritis in both knees and could really use some new ones but I would rather live with the pain than have the monkey on my back.

Not much money in writing and movie stardom then

You really have no idea at all do you.  Have you ever heard of a Google search...or are facts just all science fiction to you as well??

No, drugs get into the body from that person putting them there , if they didnt put drugs into their bodies, they wouldnt be there

Hopefully any money he makes will either be taken for 'expenses' or for failure to attend 90 day reporting over the years.

They have 90 day reporting in Liverpool now?

Not such a bad idea.

An example how people become addicts created by doctors.

Took your advice. Been thinking for 2 full hours! Still have the same opinion.

I think it would be disingenuous to pretend that his addiction problems are relative to any laws.

Why did you read them all if they were rubbish ?

Don't you dare lose your sense of humour, you must be a laugh a millenium. ????

This guy from the OP is a moron and deserves to be in jail. He's a perp and a scumbag...instead of making a film about his moronic BS, send him to break rocks in the hot sun. I have nothing but scorn for this type of rubbish.

I visit a lot of people in prisons (quite a few of whom are innocent), and those who are guilty generally regret their actions. Some however are just complete idiots who will never learn from their mistakes and are destined to keep returning to prison, wherever they are living. I do not have any sympathy for this guy. His own stupid actions put him in jail here and it is again his own stupid actions that have put him in jail in England. The word "Loser" comes to mind.

You should have mentioned visiting convicts in the POTY contest, might have got you a few more votes .....

Nice use of scouser slang there. Jimmy Corkhill used to say "do one" all the time...

A substantial part of the current heroin problem in the US is due to people who became unintentionally addicted to oxycontin and similar drugs, due to the arbitrary and unchecked prescription of it for pain relief by doctors there (under the guidance of the big pharmaceutical companies).

Meanwhile, all the regular, law abiding, tax paying, hardworking folk slog it out to get by. Romanticising petty, lowlife thugs like this one is a weird obsession we have in this world.

Sometimes they become "recreational" without you even knowing it.
