I recently got a call from my insurance broker from my home country that there would probably some issues with the private liability insurance I have from there.

It's only valid for a certain period and not intended if you stay abroad for a longer period (like me 4 years already).

Apart from that I guess it could be very difficult to claim the money from a case in Thailand because of the documents etc. all being in Thai.

Does anyone living here have a private liability insurance from a Thai company that he can recommend?

Or is this kind of insurance not necessary at all in Thailand?

In my home country it is one of the few insurances that is kind of mandatory so I am just wondering...

I searched on Google for Thai insurance companies and just found AXA and that only in combination with house/condo insurance.

Best regards
