Android TV Boxes and Builds

Featured Replies

Have not seen much on this topic for quite some time. I am wondering which boxes and builds are giving you the best results.

I test boxes and mobile phones for certain resellers/manufactures and have 3 boxes that we use at home on a daily basis.

The HiMedia Q10 Pro,  ZidooX9S and Zidoo H6 Pro. All 3 have the One Alliance 1A build installed. Today it is difficult to find a build that is current and regularly updated. One Alliance has done an excellent job doing so.

Tell us about the device you are using along with the build and of course you're opinion.

I have a shield and I am using my own Build. It is very good.

Awesome.. I will be testing the new Shield in the next month or 2.

I would like to know about your build. Is it available online?

I also have a Shield and use the Durex Build. Was only updated two weeks ago.

Haven't tried the Durex Build. Need to check it out. Thanks

OP, you are aware that in the last few weeks many builds have been

taken down by developers who have received cease & desist letters.

Those same developers are now no longer involved with their work.

Right now it's prob best to wait it out until new developers start making

some new builds.

Alternatively try using addons from repositories that are still working

and create your own build.

I am well aware of those who stopped development. I am currently using the 1A build. I don't think these guys are going anywhere. The just released a lite version and a touch screen version.

Thanks for your input. I do appreciate it.

i just use the basic kodi 17.6 build and add repositories

Plenty of you tube videos on whats best for feb

+1

Likewise, I run the basic Kodi 17.6 and add repositories and add-ons as necessary. Box is a H-96 Pro Plus that I've had for over a year now, works fine.

It is easier to create you own build using a skin and then add links to the working video addons of your choice.

I put a tutorial of how to make your own build in the Kodi® for Dummies topic from post #30 onwards.

Give it a try... much better to personalize your Kodi the way you want it rather than uses someone else's format.

Calling someone who put a build together a developer is a bit of a stretch of the word.

Those who create an addon are developers, while those that create a build are handymen.
