bscott Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I have 2 METVs in my passport: one expired 19 Aug 2017 and one expired 18 Feb 2018. I went to Singapore for a quick trip just before the expiry of my second one so I could get another 60 days to take me until around 18 Apr 2018. And then I was planning to extend that stay an extra 30 days until around mid-may, which I've actually rented a condo until. However I think the immigration officer didn't see my second visa and instead gave me a 30 day entry stamp on the page after my earlier visa. I've only just noticed this now and it means I need to leave in around 2 weeks instead of 6 weeks ?. My METV is also expired now so I can't go and make another trip to correct it. Anyone had this experience before or know what they would do in this situation?
Popular Post ubonjoe Posted February 27, 2018 Popular Post Posted February 27, 2018 You could go to a immigration office to have the error corrected. The will be able to see that the entry was done before your visa expired and give you the correct 60 day entry it allowed. If in Bangkok you could go to Chaeng Wattana immigration that has a desk for correcting stamping errors. 5 1 1
allane Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I would bring it to the attention of your nearest Immigration office ASAP. You will gain nothing by waiting. 1

bscott Posted February 27, 2018 Author Posted February 27, 2018 Thanks @ubonjoe. That's good advice. I'll go to Chaeng Wattana first thing tomorrow and try to get it corrected.
bscott Posted February 28, 2018 Author Posted February 28, 2018 Just an update: I went to the immigration office today and they corrected my stamp for me. Thanks for the advice. 1
