seems thier is an overabundance of dive shops on ko tao. beyond that are the foreign workers at these shops working legally in thailand with work permits. ?  and finally it seems thier is a lack of professionalism at these shops . seems to me many of the shops workers are sitting around smoking and drinking?  thanks

Too many of everything on Tao. Ruined the place.

I went there first time in 99 and it was brilliant. Last time I passed by on a ferry every boulder had a hut built on it.

I imagine it’s difficult smoking and drinking while diving, they are likely just getting caught up while there’re on break...

Given lung function and safety are of vital importance while diving, smoking and drinking are not recommended habits for dive instructors.

Comes in handy for alcoholic drink tasters. Haven't heard, but I imagine tobacco companies have cigarette testers.

Tao/Samui ruined 15 years ago. KPN also ruined.
