Weather reports from the met office indicate hot weather over the next 24 hours with about a 10% chance of rain in Isaan, the central region and the eastern seaboard.

There is low pressure in the upper reaches of the country and the rain is caused by air from the South China Sea colliding with that from the Gulf of Thailand.

Thai Rath said that the met office was predicting the following:

North - Lows: 16-24C, Highs 34-38.
Isaan - Lows: 21-15, Highs 36-37. 10% chance of rain.
Central - Lows 25-26, Highs 36 - 38 10% chance of rain.
Eastern seaboard - Lows 25 - 26, Highs 33 - 37, 10% chance of rain.

The forecast related to 6am Saturday to 6 am Sunday.

I have never really comprehended these percentile weather predictions. A 10% chance of rain? 10% of what base value?

I guess when you have 10 days with 10% chance of rain that one (1) of these 10 days it actually rains.

It means that in any area of one square anything, it will be raining over 10% of it all the time, or all of it 10% of the time, or 50% of it 20% of the time, but there's a 90% chance they are 100% wrong.
