March 3, 20188 yr Popular Post Hi guys, For those of you who remember me when I was an active member - I lived in Thailand for 2 years during 2015 - 2017 and unfortunately I had to return home back to the UK in May 2017 due to ill health. I've always had kidney problems and I took a gamble moving to Thailand in the first place. Either way, I had a fantastic 2 years in Thailand and I don't regret the decision to move out there. I miss Thailand an awful lot. I am now at home in the UK where it's cold and rainy and I'm now on kidney dialysis. I'm waiting for a kidney transplant and on the list currently. Hopefully the wait won't be too long so I can get back out to South East Asia, even if it's only for a holiday! I've started a blog to explain my journey and experience being on dialysis and I thought it might be an interesting read to some of you guys. I found that there is scarily little amount of information about people on peritoneal dialysis and not many people sharing their experiences so I decided to fill in a niche market. March 4, 20188 yr Best of luck mate, rooting for you. Hope you can get a transplant soon, then get back to fitness, get back here and enjoy all that Thailand has to offer.
March 4, 20188 yr I think the weather is the number 1 thing I would miss about Thailand, or SE Asia in gereral, if I ever moved back to Ireland. I miss home a lot, but absolutely dread the thoughts of waking up to cold, wet, miserable, overcast days. I sincerely wish you the best of luck and hope things pan out for you soon. Greetings from sunny Thailand.
