May i also thank posters out there not jumping on my back with the usual lectures for overstayers.... we all have problems, mine just happen to be the overstay. God, people like you make me want to.... Sorry, couldnt resist. I think if you look suitably humble when you pay your fine, you will be O.K, but I would not make a habit of overstaying, not these days. Good luck. I believe that Thai immigration law used to require detention if the overstay fine was above a certain amount (say, 10,000 baht). But that was years ago.
