Does anybody know if it is possible ( and if so where) to obtain a criminal record check in Krabi? 

 

As far as I know it is only possible to get them from the Special Branch police clearance center in Bangkok.

Many thanks for that response. Strange we are being told in Krabi that we can have it done here. I have to say it makes a lot of sense for it to be done in BKK.

Have you any idea how long it takes to process?  

I was told by a former employer that it was possible to get a Thai CRC in Krabi.... but..... it takes twice the time.  Due to time constraints I went to Bangkok to get it done. 

 

The main police station in Krabi Town up the road from the post office has a forensic division that does fingerprints etc..... probably talk to them if interested.
