I don't get involved with bar girls sorry, I was talking in general. Still if i got threatened I would think think what would be easiest not what is right. I am a pragmatist. If it meant paying 5000 to get rid of her the easy way or a prolonged fight with who knows what complications I know what I would do.

If she has access to the building and you'd given her 5k, she'd be back - I guarantee it.

Give her the bus fare to visit her family for Sonkran.
Pay your rent until the end of the month but give notice.
Then move while she's away, leaving her stuff in the room.

And if she doesn't fall for that obvious trick?

Maybe, but I would only pay once she has moved out, if she came back then and the locks were changed then no problems at all. She would just not get in and if need be the security would remove her. She would have no possessions in the condo and security could remove her if she creates a disturbance.

But that be said I have no experience with bar girls, or other really mental girls. Maybe I just don't move as fast or have a better selection process as most.

Use the tried and true method...

Enter the condo sobbing uncontrollably, "teerak, ATM card broken" (using your garbage Thinglish bar speak) then start eating cat food and of course, crap your pants.

A lot of good (and some questionable) advice here. My opinion is that real compensation is the solution. Given your goal to get her out and avoid incident and police (realize this idea may be moot depending on your financial situation), consider giving her more money than she's ever seen in one place before. 100,000k baht would probably be enough to set her up in a new room for a year -- or much longer if she went back to her village. Then help her pack, escort her out and change locks and/or key cards. I understand to give up that much money would sting, but there doesn't seem to be another way around it without involving police.  This is just what I would do and in know way is meant to antagonize posters here with other solutions.

I am sure this is not true anyway the OP has only 8 posts. But still, a good debate as it happens a lot in Thailand.

I wonder what the actual law is here do they become a common law wife after 1 year?

Some members have no decency at all.. does not really surprise me actually given the low opinion many have on Thai females. It also gives me an indication why so many fail with their woman.

I got a GF living with me and if it would end I would give her a reasonable time to get out.. help her find a place give her some money to start up again. (unless of course they have plenty of money already). I guess many guys here have little empathy treating people nice.

Of course when nice does not help other ways have to be tried but I would always start off nice. Paying for the first month of rent is a good way to get rid of someone and helping them on their feet.

If she was not stupid she would have planed her next life already. I do not help idiots, I just use them, as all Thai.

The true tried and tested method is don't give her any money or feed her she will soon be off.

100000 or involve the police I would rather involve the police. That's the worst advice yet including the poster who suggested to chuck her out of the window.

If you are dumb enough to give some tart 100k you deserve everything you get.  Tell her your broke and have AIDS, she'll be gone.

That may be what her last boyfriend told and gave her.

yes, because running away with your tail between your legs is the adult response.

who would actually even consider this cowardly approach?

A lot of us would prefer to run away and <deleted> another day, than end up maimed or dead.

If you say that's not a realistic option, it just hasn't happened to you.

If she has been violent before  and you have witnesses and even a statement from them  go and get a Ro  go home pack her things change the looks have a friemd of yours there and record it on a phone tell her to leave.

But if you give her money just enough to get by for 1 week not a month

When she theatens you pull out the Ro and show her

No choice when living here. There is nothing else available. But for what I am doing with them it's really enough. As long as it's free.

theres a lot of wisdom in that statement

makes me recall a time when a bar girl told me she will live with me for only 20,000 baht a month. i responded (in thai) if you'd like to live with me in the nice expensive condo i'd consider we share the monthly costs. she couldnt speak, shocked. many of these rather average girls develop lots of pseudo confidence from all the lonely hard up guys that see them and treat them as princesses. its one thing to treat everyone with respect and decency but leading them to believe they are supermodels with masters degrees is way overboard.

You don't get a supermodel with a Masters for 20K a month.  Not even a princess.

Do the math. $600 for sex 30 days a month with a young, pretty thang is a pittance compared to what it costs just to date back home, where you may and may not get any.

Edit:  You may be confusing "lonely and hard up" for pragmatic and practical.

knew a farang living with a thai girl that likely had borderline personality disorder.  their agreement was light housekeeping in exchange for a place to live and food and it was her stated goal to get a job (which she never did) when her BPD ranting got out of control he'd wave 2000 baht in front of her with 2 options. # tale the money and go to nearby family house or # 2000 baht to police to remove her from premises.   she took the cash on those occasions

what a load of nonsense.  Maimed or dead indeed.  I think you should rethink how you are spending your time and who you are spending your time with if this is how you see the world.

no. it would not happen to me.  It has not happened to me because i have never presumed to move a woman in who is not my equal socially or intellectually.

I maintain clear boundaries about my space, and have never seen fit to move in with someone i barely know, understand, or can communicate with. Or someone who didnt have their own career, money friends and life beyond the scope of me.

i didnt back at home and i certainly haven't done it here either.

think im arrogant, fine, but im not the one with a problem or bitter history that i milk for sympathy on an internet website.
