Prawit says election timeline unaltered by hiccup in promulgation of MPs bill

BANGKOK, 2 April 2018 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan is confident the election roadmap won't change because of the decision of 27 members of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) to seek a court interpretation of the controversial bill governing the election of Members of Parliament.

Easing public concerns about the lawmakers’ request for the prime minister to forward the bill to the Constitutional Court for review, Gen Prawit said he is convinced that the election timeline will remain untouched in spite of the prime minister’s decision and the court’s ruling.

He reiterated that the next general election will take place in February next year as promised.

The deputy premier’s view was shared by First Vice President of the NLA Surachai Liengboonlertchai who asserted that because the enforcement of the MPs bill is delayed by 90 days after its promulgation in the Royal Gazette, there is ample time for the court to interpret the problematic sections of the bill.

Although Surachai believes that the organic MPs bill is constitutional, he said it would be ideal to have the charter court settle the issue.

Prawit has had a haircut. Unfortunately we cannot see the day's watch.

We cannot see the watch, because he has started wearing longer sleeves.

So ole fatty is yapping on again, must be a lie he never ever speaks the truth.

Unfortunately the new sporty tourism Minister's tailor did not have matching garment when he added the long sleeves to his jacket.

Remember the no coup...no coup.....no coup.....mantra in the months before the coup ?

Just a small white lie...all in the interest of the welfare of the nation of course...

So sorry, you little sad man...we don't believe a word coming from your mouth...

Prawit is so full of self entitlement....so keeping a low profile after the watch story...is not an option..

And clearly with Prayut's blessing........Indeed a sad state of affairs.

One can only hope that from February onwards, this person of low moral character is never to be in an official capacity again.
