China announced its support of the Cambodian government in general and, in particular, its willingness to see Hun Sen re-elected.

Mr Hun Sen’s Facebook post of March 31 told of their meeting and that Mr Wang Yi told the premier that China agrees with all measures the Cambodia government has taken to protect and preserve peace, political stability, and esteem of the Kingdom.

As Khmer Times reported last year, China unwaveringly supports Cambodia in maintaining peace and political stability, and in resisting foreign intervention.  It also finds the government’s dissolution of the CNRP and the arrest of Mr Sokha on treason charges as acceptable.

Wonder who would be screaming if Putin had openly supported either Hillary or Trump in the elections.  China openly agrees with the dissolution of the opposition party and the arrest of Sokha.  Interference in elections, it happens all the time, everywhere.
