Facebook generation. Likes are more important than life. They obviously never saw the training video Surviving Edged Weapons that shows that even when armed with a holstered gun a machete welding nut can kill you from a distance of 30 feet before you get off a shot.

That was a magazine article back in 1983 and it's the 21 foot rule and depending on the training and competency of the shooter at any distance under 20 foot the knife wielder generally wins. Past 21 feet, again generally, he's toast. This topic has been debated a lot with some calling it a myth all comes down to reactionary distance and that is not a constant.

Connect 4 was an April Fools joke and do you really see violence on a daily basis? More than any other country?

Yes and Yes .... I lived in Thailand for 17 years and finally gave up last year and returned home as did each and every one of my friends who had no wish for their children to be educated in life and learning in Thailand. It was fun for a while of course until I realised it's not only the goods and smiles that are fake.

Anger management is clearly an issue in Thailand....

Fueled by alcohol and/or meth even the smallest incident is easily turned into extreme violence....
