Big Cleaning Day Held to Clear Dust From City Roads

CityNews – The governor of Chiang Mai joined with over 300 volunteers for a big cleaning day across the city, in a bid to clear away the dust.

 

On April 3rd, Pawin Chamniprasert, the governor of Chiang Mai and over 300 hundred volunteers from the public sector participated in a big cleaning day. The activity was held to alleviate the dust in the air and increase the humidity of the air by spraying water on the street that also helps collect the dust and prevents it from blowing back up into the air.

then what...mabey instead of buying military hardware ,we should buy some street sweepers

Genius at it's best to spray water on the roads at the begin of the monsoon season. Looks like a bunch of officials jumped in their 'think tank' without inflatable rubber ducks again.

This might be one of my pet hates where I live.  The back road through the rice fields then a small road to T.Lotus .  Now it seems is the right time to spray water on the road , WHY !

In 10 mins in the sun the road goes from dust to mud and back to dust.

Roads in Chiang Mai have not been cleaned in many months.

I doubt the city even has a motorised street sweeper.
