Aussie does the pointing - Thai girl does the "wai" after $4,900 theft

 

 

While an Australian man was in the toilet the girl he had taken back for the night made off with $4,900 Australian dollars.

 

But Pattaya police were soon on her trail - Kanchanaporn Khreuadam or Om, aged 20, was apprehended with some of the cash and an exchange slip.

 

She had changed the money (worth about 120,000 baht) then bought some stuff and then gone out to celebrate at a "Tomboy" bar. 

 

Pattaya station chief Pol Col Apichai Krobpetch was on hand today as Om wai-ed the Australian who was named as Elburn Ayodel (name transliterated from Thai). 

 

Mr Ayodel identified the thief with some pointing.

Why is it so easy for prostitutes to just wai and no charge it is therefore they will continue to steal from their customers 

Prostitution is itslef illegal but police turn the blind eye but stealing is a crime and that they need prison time for 

To men there need go to prostitutes keep your money in safe and condoms on table before you take her back to your room

Wonder if he paid her not realizing that she was on a premium rate already, does he get back the money she spent?, too many holes in the story but quick to point the finger.

Stupid meets stupid........Judged by their actions, there was one brain cell involved by both parties (being polite here)

 

He finds the ugliest (?) hooker in Pattaya.....leaves 4900 AU$ on the nightstand  for her to steal...

She steals the money...do a little shopping....and goes back to her favorite bar...instead of going home to the sticks to celebrate Songkran....

Woman held for suspected Pattaya cash theft

Tourist and Pattaya police on Thursday arrested a Thai woman for having allegedly stolen Bt60,000 worth of foreign currency from an Australian tourist in a Pattaya condominium.
 

The suspect was identified as Kanchanaporn Kruakham, 20, from Nakhon Sawan.

 

 

She told police that she had only Bt810 left as the rest was spent drinking with friends.

 

Earlier this week, Albert Ayoubdel filed a complaint with Pattaya police that a Thai woman stole 4,900 Australian dollars and US$700 from his room.

 

Kanchanaporn said she had exchanged the cash at an automatic machine on the Thep Prasit Road in southern Pattaya.

Did you also notice that his wai was higher than hers? No way (hehe) was she showing him any respect at all.

Taking a girl back to your room and leaving $4,900 lying about is tantamount to entrapment in my view; like these girls, and boys, are not exactly noted for their moral fibre. Incidentally, if there's an insurance claim involved, and I was deciding it, I'd be inclined to refuse on the grounds of contributory negligence.

How did you know there's to be no charge? Or that she will continue to steal after the charges are filed and judgment rendered?

Not illegal in the sense you (and most posters here, unaware of the law) probably define it. Moreover, police regularly round up prostitutes and fine them, so, no, it's not a blind eye.

The money allegedly almost all spent; lots of photos of clearly identifiable police but the thief hides behind a face mask.  Classic Pattaya Plod.
