webfact
Monkey attack on official and film crew could lead to transfer to inactive post! Pictures: Sanook It was the revenge of the macaque at Sam Roi Yot national park in Prajuab Khiri Khan this week. A TV crew was filming at a shrine for a tourism promotion when the Ling Samae (crab eating macaque) went for the jugular of a female park official. Fortunately the official managed to fend off the monkey. But the large male then turned his attention to a film producer jumping on their head, reported Sanook. The crew were filming a Thai show that translates as "Real Life on Screen" all about Thai tourism. Now the chief of the national park has said that the naughty monkey concerned faces transfer to a place where they can do less damage.. In common parlance when this happens in the human world it is called "transfer to an inactive post", notes Thaivisa. sirineou
I don't get this article. Who is getting transferred to an inactive post? The Monkey? Was the monkey assigned to a post?and because of his behaviour is now assigned to a different position at another post? Shouldn't the monkey be placed on a desk job while an investigation takes place, perhaps there was sufficient provocation. perhaps the monkey did not want to be filmed. Did the filming crew have signed consent from the monkeys to be filmed? I Think the International Brotherhood Of Monkeys (IBOM)need to get involved in this matter.
