Ed-Visa application in Bali

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience applying for the Ed-Visa in Bali (Denpasar)?

The consulate is difficult to contact. My potential school has said it's possible but they don't know for sure.

It is possible but I am not sure what documents are required.

My response is a bit late, but in case someone else finds this thread...

In most cases it is NOT possible to apply for an ED visa in Jakarta (and I assume this extends to Denpasar).

The web page referenced in the previous post states that you need to supply a police record from Indonesia or your country of residence, if you are enrolling in university or higher education institution and informal courses.

I tried to apply for my ED visa in Jakarta last year, and because it was an "informal course" was unable to apply. Indonedian police only issue a police record for Indonesian residents. If you already reside in Thailand I suspect it would be very difficult to get a police record in English there.
