He must have known her from before , maybe his landlady ? 

 

And I am not so sure he is Russian .  Anyway he speaks Thai so must have been living here for some time. 

He can be heard speaking Russian on the video so I think the chances of him being Russian are pretty high. Also, how can you possibly know what he was or wasn't trying to do when he entered the house?
