CCTV video footage from a funeral in Ayuthaya showed a man stab a rival to death then calmly walk off.

He was arrested within the hour and was yesterday charged with premeditated murder.

He was taken on a re-enactment where a friend of the deceased smacked him around the head and neck.

The original incident happened at the funeral of Rewat Wongsalee's grandmother at Wat Sakae.

It was the third day of the bathing rites as Rewat, 34, sat with other friends and relatives.

The CCTV footage showed Chaiyan Markphasuk, 41, walk up to Rewat and attempt to attack him with a knife.

Rewat tried to defend himself before he was stabbed in the chest. He then ran off but collapsed nearby as the assailant coolly strolled off in another direction.

Police in Ayuthaya have charged Chaiyan with premeditated murder and having a concealed knife in a public place.

He was taken on a reenactment yesterday when he was attacked despite a large police presence.

Thapakorn Suktham, a friend of the deceased, told TNA that the pair had argued at a New Year party and a fist fight had broken out. But it seemed to have been settled later.

On the third day of the funeral rites Chaiyan turned up but no one expected him to attack Rewat, he said.

So Thai's hold grudges same as many people.

Is this for you an example of normalcy?

Let the mob deal with him... That should wipe that "attitude" off his face

This is always a possibility with these silly re-enactments.

A little cuffing will be the least of his worries once he goes into stir...those boys really know how to welcome new guests.

Life?  There is no doubt about his guilt so just kill him.

Where is the punishment in that !! Just makes us killers too, in my opinion...
