No you can’t, BNK48 tells singer ‘Can’ Nayika

The girl group had made headlines late last month when they met with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha at the Government House in Bangkok, for a public relations event to promote the launch of Happy Family Radio FM 105.

 

Nayika “Can” Srinian, a 20-year-old member of the Thai idol group BNK48, a sister group of Japan’s all-girl singing ensemble AKB48, has been suspended from duties for one month for breaching her employment contract.

 

A Facebook user publicly alleged that Nayika had posted a photo in her personal Instagram feed showing her with an unidentified man.

 

BNK48 members are contractually prohibited from owning an Instagram account and cannot have their pictures taken with other people without permission, lest such images hurt the singing group’s carefully maintained wholesome image.

 

A committee’s decision to suspend Nayika from all BNK48 activities starting on Tuesday was published on the group’s official Facebook page.

 

By then, Nayika had already apologised publicly in a short Facebook Live broadcast.

The music and talent of the artist should hypnotise not their appearance.

The whole some image was in tatters after they were pimped out to join the loathsome Prayuth's election campaign. The pictures with him are not pretty.

Can's father,Phuwakon Sinean, is one of the founders of the Future Forward Party. He said  she had to accept whatever punishment the company dished out and that this was a good learning rxperience.

Perhaps they should rename the party Big Brother or 1984.
