Can no longer respond to posts on TV with Firefox.

Featured Replies

In the last couple of days I have found that I can't respond to posts using Firefox. If I click on the Quote button it opens some of the dialogue window but I can't put the cursor in or type any text. If I restart the computer it works, but only briefly, long enough to respond to one post and then the problem returns. I don't have the problem in Chrome, but I don't want to be running to browsers at the same time. What could cause this problem in Firefox?

Will be hard to tell.

I always use FF for TV forum like now.

Can you remember what might have changed/happened/been installed on your system?

Did you install new add-ons to FF?

Did you install new antivirus/internet protection SW?

Clueless.

The only thing that has changed was that Win 10 did an update.

I see.

I gave me a 35 day break from that, so no update since a while.

Would this be better in the IT forum?

Maybe, I can ask there. Perhaps the mod can please move this to the IT Forum.

After searching for the latest "Windows 10 update problems" there is a good chance that you are sufferer.

First reports were about Chrome freezing but not only.

There is a hint that FF has just released a fix.

Use "Help" "About Firefox".

I just did and now have version 60.

I refreshed Firefox and it seems to be working correctly for the moment.

I had a similar problem with FF about a month ago and everything was slowing down.

I cleared out so many odd programs and the pc was still running slowly and freezing.

I installed Google Chrome and dumped FF completely and my pc runs faster with no freezing.
