SGA to initiate new flight route Chiang Mai - Pai

Siam General Aviation Company Limited (SGA Airlines) will launch its new aviation route, Chiang Mai (เชียงใหม่) - Pai (ปาย) District on Feb 1st.

Dr. Jane Channarong (เจน ชาญณรงค์), executive of SGA Airlines, revealed that the airline has decided to expand its new route traveling from Chiang Mai to Pai. The Cessna Grand Caravan 208 airplane with 12 seats will take off from Chiang Mai Airport at 10.55 hours on Feb 1st and will arrive at Pai Airport at 11.30 hours. At the Pai Airport, the district will welcome its first flight with a grand ceremony.

Mr. Visutr Buachum (วิสูตร บัวชุม), the Head of Mae Hong Son (แม่ฮ่องสอน) Tourism Board, revealed that Pai tourism is popular in the tourism industry due to its beautiful environment. He believes that the flight will help promote the tourism in the district. He said that if many tourists show interests in travelling to Pai, SGA Airlines will add more flights according to the number of tourists.

According to Mr. Worathep Kuntadee (วรเทพ กันทาดี), Chief of Pai toursim, informed that 3,500 tourists reportedly travel to the district per day.

I hope it is more than just the feb1st. flight, their only mention of any flight...

On their website they have a schedule of daily flights, this should be the first such one...I for one definitely want to check it out! It's great for any aviation fan...tiny plane, tiny airstrip in Pai...something different indeed

These flights consist of Chiangmai-Chiangrai /Chiangmai-Pai and Chiangmai-Phrae one dairy

flight during beginning period.

They must miss their milk and cheese up there.
